School Board of Palm Beach County | Conniston Middle School

About This Project

The expansion and remodeling of Conniston Middle School included a 24,000 square foot Media Center, classrooms and related support spaces organized around a central courtyard. The courtyard serves as a point of entry and provides the users and visitors with a “sense of place” within the school campus. The media center spaces are organized around two flanking reading rooms with smaller intimate niches defined by shelving units intercepting these functional areas. Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. received an Award of Merit from the Palm Beach Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for the design of this project.
