Palm Beach State College | Central Energy Plant

About This Project

Palm Beach State College commissioned Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. to provide full architectural services for a 147,000 square foot, $33 million, Public Safety Training Center on the Lake Worth Campus. The project integrates Fire Science, Criminal Justice, EMT and Paramedic Academies into one comprehensive complex.

The Central Energy Plant, approximately 4,500 SF of building and an additional cooling tower yard, is for the service of the Phase V and the new BAS located on the north side of the campus. The CEP is located just south of the Firing Range. It includes the required underground chilled water piping and the eventual connection to the existing CEP located on the south side of the campus. Associated with this will be the construction of the new 26k volt electric distribution system that will feed the new CEP.
