Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation | Okeeheelee Park Clubhouse and Golf Shop

About This Project

Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation commissioned Stephen L. Boruff, AIA, Architects + Planners, Inc. to design the new 7,000 square foot clubhouse at this daily-fee, public golf course. This 27 hole facility plays approximately 100,000 rounds per year and the requirements for a new golf clubhouse included a golf shop, golf professional office, administrative office, conference room, snack bar, exterior covered eating area, and men’s and women’s toilet/locker rooms. Taking advantage of the site’s natural sloping terrain, this two-story building commands the site with views across two of the finishing holes to a beautiful lake beyond. Circulation of golfers, from the building entry to the cart staging areas, was addressed early on to maximize the flow and insure responsive tee-times.
