Otaka, Inc. | Garden Valley Golf Resort

About This Project

Otaka, Inc. commissioned Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. to design this two-story 27,000 square foot building. This clubhouse facility sits atop a hill overlooking Jackson Lake and the finishing holes of this 36 hole golf resort located in the hills of east Texas. The building is organized around a “Great Room” concept reinforced by two massive brick fireplaces constructed of native Texas brick and Limestone. The golf shop has a commanding view of the golf operations, bag drop, cart staging, driving range and the first and tenth holes of the Dogwood Course. Separate golf and social entries allow for a multi-functional layout to maximize the usage of this facility
